Exciting news! The Bobbi Brown spring/summer 15 Collection has landed, and it's simply beautiful.
Featuring a focus on illuminating products, truth be told it's a cracking collection that had me slightly weak at the knees on approach (anything that promises illumination or hydration I’m having it). Lucky for me I had the gorgeous Bobbi Brown ‘A Team’ makeup artist, Aimee Morrison (all the way from Glasgow) walk me through the new collection. With luxe bronzers, pretty nudes, and silk like bases, the SS 15 Bobbi Brown Collection is worth taking note of, your face will thank you for it later (mine certainly did).
The Spring/Summer 15 Make-up Trends...
Spring/summer 2015 is all about dewy, fresh and natural looking make-up. Perfect as the weather starts to warm up, flawless dewy skin goes hand in hand with the spring season, not forgetting summer dresses and pretty pastel shades too!
I love spring/summer make-up, it's light, feminine, playful and in a sense a little more honest than winter make-up. Just like with clothing, we can shed a few layers come spring, let our skin breathe and best of all show off a beautifully fresh looking complexion.
Of course though this isn't an all natural finish, to achieve the perfect spring/summer “effortlessly pulled together look” we all need a little helping hand in the form of the perfect base, the ideal blush to brighten our skin and a fantastic highlighter to make our cheekbones pop, step in the Bobbi Brown Spring/Summer 15 collection...

Narrowing down the collection wasn't easy, but there are some key pieces that really stand out and are perfect to achieve a fantastic spring/summer make-up look. Here are my favourites:
The Extra Illuminating Moisture Balm is the perfect way to prep your skin ready to apply your make-up. Well-prepped skin is key to achieving a flawless and dewy base and is almost the most important step. This moisture balm works to energise tired and dull skin, leaving it looking soft and bright. Rather excitingly, it is what Bobbi is calling her ‘Dream Cream’! Unfortunately it was only available for a limited time and has since sold out (told you it was great). I had considered not mentioning it on this blog but seriously; it’s worth taking a look when stocks become available on the 2nd April. For spring/summer a light stain or gloss is ideal on the lips and much better suited to the season than a heavy matte colour. I fell in love with the pretty nude and pastel shades of the Bobbi Brown Lip Glosses with new colours added especially for the warmer season. The new shades include 'Almost Pink', 'Almost Peach' and 'Almost Nude' which are perfect to add a subtle peachy colour to the lips, working to really lift and brighten the skin.
With new spring/summer shades added, the Bobbi Brown Blush is a firm favourite of mine, and the perfect way to add a little natural flush to the skin. New shades added include 'Nectar', 'Nude Pink' and 'Pastel Peach.' Pastel Peach is gorgeous for a spring/summer day look dusted onto the apples of the cheeks.
Finally the natural brow shaper and hair touch up has also had new shades introduced for the season. Perfect for creating a neat and natural looking brow to compliment the dewy make-up look.
